CREATIVE REALIZATION OF S. RUSOVA'S IDEAS IN THE PROCESS OF USING MANUAL LABOR IN THE WORK OF PRESCHOOL EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

Abstract.Radical restructuring of education in Ukraine, which is the most important component of social and economic transformations of modern society, encourages scientists to develop advanced theoretical and methodological models of labor education of preschool children on the basis of achievements of pedagogical theory and practice of previous years. In these circumstances, historical experience of the problems of using manual labor in the education of preschool children, and pedagogical heritage of SofiyaRusova in particular is essential. In methodical works by S. Rusova it’s stated that one of the important factors in early childhood education is manual labor, which affects the versatile development of a personality. It is because it forms such important personality traits as diligence, punctuality, initiative, creativity, sociable mutual support, will and many others that are the basis of human life. The educationalist emphasized that labor education should be a start in a family, because a child gets the first labor skills in it. S. Rusova believed that a child labor content had to correspond not only to the age and individual needs of the child, but also to the time of year. Accordingly, for each season the researcher proposed the content of work and provided specific advice for teachers on child labor organization. According to the educationalist, in order the manual labor to be good for physical and mental development of children, it had to meet certain requirements to be interesting for children. The outstanding educationalist stressed the necessity of combining education with practical activities and noted that developing an arm, which is one of the best tools of expression an idea that allows a child understand the whole material world the best, we provide the child with better opportunities to learn new information. The ideas of using manual labor, which were highlighted in the works by S. Rusova, were important for the creation of program methodical documents, organization of educational process in the following periods of the national system of preschool education development and can be creatively used by educators in the modern preschool educational institutions for development of effective educational technologies.
