PROFESSIONAL SELF-EDUCATION OF A FUTURE TEACHER: THEORETICAL ASPECTS OF THE PROBLEM

The professional activity of the modern teacher is constantly being complicated and transformed in accordance with the requirements of the modern educational industry. The teacher cannot allow himself to “stop” at the stage of his own development and education that he has received in the course of vocational training. To reach the pinnacles of pedagogical activity, not to lose interest in it, to feel the inner satisfaction of the work being done, the teacher must constantly work on himself. It is necessary to begin long-term work on self-improvement, to master the technology of professional self-education at the time of obtaining the corresponding qualification in the institution of higher education. Ukraine's entry into the European educational space, reformation of all units of the education system and the need for "New Ukrainian School" in the training of specialists able to study during life, actualize the problem of professional self-education of a competitive and highly qualified student. The article deals with the concepts of "self-education", "professional self-education". The value of professional self-education as the highest form of self-improvement of the future teacher's personality is substantiated. It has been found that the content of a student's professional self-education should be all professionally significant qualities of his personality, including his outlook and physical health. The main stages of the process of self-education and the preconditions that determine its effectiveness are characterized. Particular attention is paid to the techniques of self-education, which are considered as a partial influence of the student on himself, as a certain single act in each case and method.
