Abstract

Modern education that continuously is in the reforming mode needs the experts capable not only to adapt to such conditions, but also to be able to study during all life, to critically think, set the purposes and to reach them, to work in team, to react quickly to the changes happening in society at each stage of its development. The traditional gap in the theory and practice during training of future teachers in institutions of higher education leads only to partial awareness of essence by young specialists performance of different types of professional activity. Therefore, teachers - yesterday's graduates need in obligatory passing of vocational education directly in a workplace, support and the help of colleagues, the experienced teacher of the mentor, that is professional adaptation to new the social status and to new conditions, application and improvements of the created competences for implementation of productive pedagogical activity. Issues of professional adaptation are not new, however there are subject of considerations of many scientists. In article, the problem of professional adaptation of young teachers in scientific research is analysed. The psychological and pedagogical analysis of literary sources revealed the essence of concepts "Young teacher", "Adaptation", "Professional adaptation", marked out intrinsic signs of this phenomenon, considered stages and structural components of professional adaptation. Special attention is paid on need of development of the system of organizational and pedagogical actions not only from institutions of an average, but also the higher education.
