MODERN APPROACHES TO AESTHETIC EDUCATION OF JUNIOR SCHOOLCHILDREN BY MEANS OF ETHNOPEDAGOGY

The article deals with modern approaches to aesthetic education of junior schoolchildren by means of Ukrainian ethnopedagogy. Based on the analysis of scientific and psychological-pedagogical literature, special attention is given to the teachers who studied philosophical, pedagogical and psychological aspects of aesthetic education, the formation of aesthetic culture of students, the origins and essence of the concept of “Ukrainian ethnopedagogy”, the influence of folk songs, music, art and other folk genres on personality development.

It turned out that Ukrainians have always used folk games as a means of aesthetic education of children.It is noted that nowadays teachers-practitioners in the educational process of primary school adapt and use as a tool of educational influence such forms of work as: children's folk games, works of art,  lullabies, nursery rhymes, patter, counters, sayings etc. It is established that in addition to folklore elements, the Ukrainian people have always used such means of aesthetic education like: painted toys made of clay, straw, dry grass, tree bark, threads, pieces of fabric and other natural materials; folk games that combined movement, word, rhythm, song and contained instructive and cognitive materials.

The editions, which include the best examples of folk games and songs for primary school students: “Carols and Christmas carols”, “Lullabies and entertainments”, “Ukrainian children’s folklore”, “Children's songs and recitatives”, “Whirlwind” and others have been  described,

It was found that such means of Ukrainian ethnopedagogy like folk children’s musical instruments included wooden tarakhkaltsya, derkachi, vurkala and spoons, noise, percussion instruments, bells, whistles, dzyzkavky, clay fistulas are seldom used in schools.  It is proposed to use art weeks as one of the forms of work for the purpose of aesthetic development of personality by means of ethnopedagogy.
