RESEARCH CENTER PEDAGOGICAL LOCAL STUDIES: 15 YEARS OF ACTIVITY

The article, based on the analysis of general approaches to the study of pedagogical local lore, describes the activities of the Research Center for Pedagogical Local Lore of dual subordination to the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The center was established in 2006 at Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University.

It was found that among the various areas of research, a regional approach is established, based on the coverage of patterns of development of national education and pedagogical thought on little-known, unique regional materials. One aspect of this regional approach is the subject of research in pedagogical local lore – the field of pedagogical knowledge about the peculiarities of education, science, pedagogical thought, culture of the local area, study, preservation and creative use of regional pedagogical experience in theory and practice of modern educational institutions.

The development of fundamental and applied research on the problems of pedagogical local lore is the main goal of a number of research structures. In particular, the Pedagogical Museum of Ukraine of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine.

It is proved that in the process of development of pedagogical local lore an important place is occupied by the cooperation of higher education institutions with scientific institutions of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine.

At Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University Research Center of Pedagogical Local Lore of double subordination to the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has been operating since 2006. Coordinates the activities of the Center for the Department of General Pedagogy and Philosophy of Education of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine.

The purpose and objectives of the Center for Pedagogical Local Lore - the development of basic and applied research on pedagogical local lore, coordination of research activities in the field of pedagogical local lore, creating opportunities for testing and implementation of research results, attracting talented young people to active research.

It is determined that the Research Center for Pedagogical Local Lore is a center for the integration of education and science as a necessary condition for the innovative development of any country or society. Therefore, the main objectives of its activities are cooperation with scientific institutions, institutions of higher education, research, testing and implementation of theoretical and methodological principles of pedagogical and local lore.

Prospects for further research are to strengthen interdisciplinary research on pedagogical local lore in order to expand the range of activities of scientists, scientific schools of Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University in cooperation with scientific institutions of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
