EDUCATIONAL ORIENTATION OF PROBLEMS IN MATHEMATICS TEXTBOOKS FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL IN NUS

The article considers some aspects of the educational orientation of the textual mathematical exercises in the available textbooks of mathematics for I – IV classes of NUS for the formation of general and mathematical competencies of pupils. As in the 2018 – 2019 academic year, the Ukrainian primary school began work on changing the educational paradigm on the basis of competence orientation. Therefore, the reform of primary education is currently carried out on the basis of the requirements of the State Standard of General Primary Education, which is based on the principles of personality-oriented and competence-based approaches. The article substantiates that the modernization of the educational system on the basis of the competence approach requires updating the content of educational and didactic materials, textbooks, creation of modern teaching aids. An integral part of the content of NUS mathematics textbooks is the content line «Story Exercises». In this regard, it is proposed to use in the learning process exercises aimed at educating the culture of work, love and respect for the Motherland, pride in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, respect for the historical past of the Ukrainian people, healthy lifestyle, ecological style of thinking and responsible and caring attitude to nature, encouraging pupils to actively participate in the production of material and spiritual goods of society, care for manufactured/grown products; formation of pride for the achievements of domestic science and technology; formation of the ability to do business. To this end, it is recommended that teachers make the educational process interesting and diverse. It was made an attempt to create a classification of exercises depending on their educational orientation and the impact on the formation of certain competencies.
