GAME THERAPY IN SOCIAL AND PEDAGOGICAL WORK AS A METHOD OF MODELING INTERACTION WITH THE SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT

The article provides a theoretical analysis of the problem of using the play therapy method in socio-pedagogical work as a method of modeling interaction with the environment and social environment. The importance of the play therapy method in socio-pedagogical work with schoolchildren in the conditions of the current difficult socio-economic situation in the country, full-scale military operations, stressful situations in the conditions of a pandemic was substantiated.

The concept of “play therapy” as a method of correcting emotional and behavioral disorders in children by involving them in various game situations was revealed. Based on the research, the main categories of children who need corrective and therapeutic help from a social pedagogue have been determined.

It was found that the realities of current social life in Ukraine are the reason for the expansion of the list of groups of such children: children from families of refugees from the war zone, children whose parents fight in the ranks of the Armed Forces or were injured or die,cchildren who were in forced labor isolation due to the pandemic for a long time.

The main indications for the involvement of schoolchildren in the process of play therapy were distinguished: impaired growth of the “I”, which is reflected in behavioral disorders and disharmony of the “I-concept”, low level of self-acceptance, high social anxiety and hostility towards the surrounding world, etc.

The purpose of using the play therapy method in the work with such children was characterized: expanding the children’s forms of self-expression, increasing the level of his social competence in interaction with peers and adults. The main functions of play therapy were defined and characterized: diagnostic, corrective, therapeutic and educational. It was substantiated that the result of the application of the play therapy method in socio-pedagogical work is a higher level of social knowledge and skills of schoolchildren, the ability to cope with difficult feelings and situations.
