FOSTERING IN PRESCHOOLERS A TOLERANT ATTITUDE TOWARDS PEOPLE WITH SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS BY MEANS OF INCLUSIVE LITERATURE

The article is devoted to the analysis of the problem of formation in preschoolers a tolerant attitude towards people with special educational needs by means of inclusive education. The article defines the concept of “inclusive literature”, its main characteristics and the possibilities of its use for fostering a tolerant attitude in preschool children. Based on the literature analysis, it was concluded that the concept of “inclusive literature” includes several areas: literature about people with disabilities; literature, which is aimed at the perception of personal diversity; literature for children with special educational needs (books in Braille, with the use of icons, tactile, picture books, etc.). The author proves the effectiveness of inclusive literature as a means of fostering a tolerant attitude towards people with special educational needs by the fact that it is literature that is important for the child’s psycho-emotional and social development, and the use of artistic words makes it easier to explain and convey to children complex things, in particular, that all people are different . In the course of the formative stage of the research on fostering a tolerant attitude, conversations with children were used, discussions of the behavior of the heroes of fairy tales or stories that deal with people with special educational needs, and parallels with the lives of children and their feelings were drawn. In the article, the author also presented the results of the analysis of modern children's literature, which reveal the intricacies of the lives of children with special educational needs, in the form of a list of works of fiction and definition of a brief content and methodical recommendations for working with them.
