INFORMATIONAL AND COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE OF MANAGER OF HIGHER EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT

In this article the problem of information and communication competence of a manager of higher educational establishment as an important component of his professional culture is examined. The problem of information and communication competence of the head of a higher education institution as an important component of his professional culture is considered, the essence and significance of information and communication competence of the head of a higher education institution in his management activities is investigated, the relationship of this competence with other structural components of such an important concept as professional culture is analysed. The most noticeable consequence of the rapid development of information technologies was the so-called informatization of social activities, which is understood, first of all, as a transition to the widespread use of the latest (electronic computing) technology and relevant technologies. The need for well-trained, competitive specialists capable of ensuring the functioning and development of a higher educational institution in modern conditions, managers who are distinguished by a high level of pedagogical skill and creativity, professional culture, an indispensable component of which is information and communication competence, designed to largely solve the system of postgraduate pedagogical education, is highlighted. It was investigated that the formation of information and communication competence contributes to: comprehensive development of university managers; self-improvement; the desire to learn throughout life; understanding of information and communication processes; the ability to apply the mastered in professional activities; improve professional skills; apply the acquired knowledge in management and everyday practice.
