THE ROLE OF THE DISCIPLINE “TECHNOLOGY AND ORGANISATION OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH IN EDUCATION” IN THE TRAINING OF FUTURE MASTERS OF PRIMARY EDUCATION

The article considers the role of the discipline “Technology and Organisation of Scientific Research in Education’’ in the training of future masters of primary education based on generalisation of the experience of teaching the discipline at Rivne State University for the Humanities for twelve years. The purpose and main tasks of the course are defined.

It has been found that interactive teaching methods, in particular, the case study method, are widely used in practical and laboratory classes.

The author proves that an important segment in the development of the discipline is the independent work of higher education applicants and the tasks that are creative in nature are characterised.

Individual research tasks in the discipline are analysed; technologies for preparing pitches, reports, and theses are described.

Attention is focused on the peculiarities of the final control in the form of tests in Google Forms both for each module and for the course as a whole.

The article identifies positive trends based on the existing experience: increasing the role of the course in the training of a master’s degree in the specialty 013 Primary Education; consideration of methodological principles of scientific research in the compulsory and elective components of the educational programme; selection of the theme of master’s research during the training of bachelor students; formation of relevant qualities of a scientist in the process of research and development activity of applicants through a personality-activity approach to learning, problem-based learning, the dialogue of the educational process, the optimal balance of individual and group forms of learning.

The current paper proves that studying the course contributes to the training of a highly qualified specialist who will operate with the most modern technologies and methods and conduct scientific research based on academic integrity. That specialist will be introduced to the methodology of implementing the results of scientific research in education and will be aware of the ability to prepare and present reports, scientific articles, theses, and qualification works.
