METHODOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF THE CONDUCTOR’S WORK WITH A CHILDREN’S ORCHESTRA GROUP IN THE CONTEXT OF MODERNISATION OF MUSIC EDUCATION IN UKRAINE

The article deals with the methodological aspects of the conductor’s work with a children’s orchestra group; the features of modernization processes in music education have been described.

The peculiarities of musical and theoretical training of children’s orchestral group members, which involves studying the basics of musical literacy: elementary music theory; elements of harmony, polyphony, analysis of musical works; history of formation and development of musical art, have been revealed.

It is noted that when studying a musical work by orchestral players, the conductor should take into account: the genre and form of the musical work, its character, stylistic features, established traditions of performance, as well as the performing temperament of each member of the orchestral group, his degree of imaginative thinking and creative imagination, attitude to the author of the work, and the ability to read a musical work from a sheet.

It has been found that it is important for a conductor to understand the role and place of modern musical computer technologies in the educational process of a music education institution, as well as the ability to use them in daily professional activities.

The peculiarities of using the Sibelius software in the work with children’ orchestral group have been revealed, which allows: typing music text; learning works by playing both a separate part and the entire score; creating phonograms that can be used by students in their independent work, etc.

It has been found that software such as a tuning fork, metronome, digital recorder, CD player, DVD player, audio and video discs, illustrator-performer on any instrument, virtual electronic brass band, music library, music editors, media recordings of concerts of famous musicians and brass bands serve as an excellent tool for comparative analysis of performing interpretations of musical works, and teaching the art of playing a musical instrument.
