The particularities of formation of social experience in children of pre-school age are analyzed in the article. The views of T. Ponimanska on the development of social experience of preschool children are highlighted. A necessary condition for personal development is the accumulation of social experience by the child. An important problem in the pedagogical process of a preschool institution is the formation of components of social experience. Social experience is an action which is generalized on the personal level; it has the following components: motivational, cognitive and pragmatic. These components cause new personal growth in a child: social knowledge and beliefs, social attitudes, social interaction skills and practical activity skills. Social experience is a basis of the socialization of a person; the  child grows and fulfils personally, becomes socially aware while learning it. It is an important pedagogical task to prepare the child to live among other people while forming the social experience.

On the one hand, the components of social experience will help implement a systemic, holistic approach to the development of the child, and on the other – to link this development with life.
