This article provides a theoretical justification for the issue of shaping the professional culture of future managers within the context of the competency-based approach. The relevance of this study stems from current trends in the digitalization of education, the growing demands of the labor market for the professional training of management specialists, and the need to equip higher education students with the ability to effectively carry out their professional activities. The essence of the concept of “professional culture of future managers” is revealed as an integrative characteristic of the individual, encompassing a system of knowledge, skills, value orientations, norms of professional behavior, and practical experience.
The structural components of the culture of professional activity of future managers are identified, specifically the motivational-value, cognitive, operational-activity, and reflective components, which collectively ensure readiness for the effective performance of professional functions. The interconnection between the culture of professional activity and the formation of professional competencies in the process of training future managers is substantiated.
The pedagogical possibilities of the competency-based approach are highlighted, specifically the integration of professional disciplines and the use of active teaching methods (case studies, project-based learning, business games). The role of the university’s educational environment as a holistic system that combines traditional and digital components, ensures a practice-oriented nature of learning, and promotes effective interaction among participants in the educational process is outlined.
It has been demonstrated that the competency-based approach serves as the methodological foundation for shaping the professional culture of future managers, ensuring that the educational process is focused on achieving practical learning outcomes and developing the capacity for professional self-realization.
