Abstract

This article examines the issue of developing analytical competence in future economists during their professional training at higher education institutions. The relevance of the study is determined by contemporary socio-economic transformations, the digitalization of the economy, and increasing demands on the professional activities of economists, which require the development of their ability to analyze economic information, interpret data, and make informed managerial decisions. In this context, the educational environment of a higher education institution takes on particular significance, as it serves as a key factor in the development of students’ professional competencies.

It has been established that the educational environment of a higher education institution is a complex, multi-component system that includes organizational-pedagogical, informational-digital, socio-communicative, and instructional-methodological components. It is argued that the effective functioning of the educational environment creates conditions for the development of students’ analytical thinking, the integration of analytical tasks into the content of professional disciplines, the use of digital resources and information and communication technologies, as well as the organization of research and project activities for higher education students.

This article identifies the pedagogical potential of the educational environment in fostering the analytical competence of future economists, specifically by creating conditions for the development of critical thinking, applying interactive teaching methods, utilizing digital platforms and analytical tools, and encouraging independent and research-based activities among higher education students. It is concluded that the educational environment of a higher education institution serves as an important resource for improving the quality of professional training for future economists and developing their analytical skills.
