Abstract

The article addresses the issue of national-patriotic education of children in preschool educational institutions. It highlights the significance of the national symbols of the Ukrainian people as key factors in the revival of the nation, the development of national consciousness, and the affirmation of human dignity. The works of scholars who have studied this issue are analyzed, along with official documents that outline the goals and objectives of national-patriotic education at the present stage.

The role of folk symbols in fostering love for the Motherland, respect for history, and national identity is examined. The means of developing patriotic feelings in children are explored. The pedagogical conditions for the effective use of national symbols in the educational process of preschool institutions are substantiated. It is determined that systematic familiarization with the symbols of Ukraine contributes to the formation of the foundations of civic consciousness, an emotional and value-based attitude toward the country, and the development of national self-awareness. Practical approaches to integrating national symbols into various types of preschool activities are proposed.
