To achieve effective communication with the orchestra, the conductor must possess a number of skills, such as the ability to listen, communicate effectively, understand and use non-verbal means of communication. In addition, the conductor must be responsible and professional, have a creative approach to his work and understand the cultural aspects of orchestral art. All these aspects will help the conductor to become a successful leader and famous musician. Communicative interaction between the conductor and orchestra members is a key element of successful music performance. In order for the interaction to be effective, the conductor must possess a variety of communicative strategies and know the peculiarities of communication with the orchestra members. The interaction between the conductor and the orchestra is very important for creating a high-quality musical performance. The conductor and the orchestra must work together to achieve a common goal – a great performance of the music. During rehearsals, the conductor explains to the orchestra his ideas about the interpretation of music and brings order to the performance of individual musical scores. The conductor also controls the tempo, volume and phrasing of the music. The orchestra must listen carefully to the conductor and follow his instructions. Each musician must play his part with precision and pay attention to dynamics and acoustics. In addition, the conductor and the orchestra must have a shared vision of how the music should sound and trust each other. This helps to create a single musical composition that will sound as the conductor intended. For a successful orchestral performance, it is also necessary to establish a good interaction between the conductor and the orchestra, who must clearly understand and trust each other. The conductor is able to evoke the necessary emotions and mood in the orchestra to convey to the listeners what he sees in the music. The article reveals the relationship between the conductor's personal qualities and the level of orchestral performance.
