The article is devoted to the problem of humanization of the educational environment of a higher educational establishment in the formation of students’ moral responsibility. The main scientific approaches (personally oriented, competence, environment) and principles (system, humanism, connection with life, consciousness and activity, goal-setting, partnership interaction, mobility, democracy, combination of purposeful educational activity with initiative and autonomy, orientation towards positive sides of the personality) to the education of moral responsibility of student youth are considered. The conditions of humanization of the educational environment of higher educational institutions, in particular: refusal of the authoritarian style of education, creation of favorable moral and psychological climate in an educational institution; democratization and self-government; affiliate interaction and effective communication are characterized.
