FORMATION OF ARTISTIC COMPETENCE AS AN IMPORTANT COMPONENT OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF FUTURE PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS

Annotation. The article substantiates the urgent problem of modern higher pedagogical education – the formation of artistic competence in future primary school teachers. The essence of the concepts of «competence», «artistic competence», «competency-based approach». The results of studies revealing the essence and significance of the formation of artistic competence are summarized.

It is noted that during the introduction of the Concept of the New Ukrainian School, the problem of forming the creative competence of future primary school teachers acquires importance and relevance, which in turn leads to an increase in the quality of their professional training in higher education institutions.

Based on the analysis of theoretical sources on the research problem, it has been established that in modern social conditions, higher pedagogical education has a requirement to train new competent teaching staff capable of providing high-quality educational needs of the individual, realizing their intellectual and cultural potential, including in the system of art education .

The purpose of the work is to summarize the results of studies that reveal the essence and importance of the formation of artistic competence as an important component of the professional training of future primary school teachers.The scientific novelty of the research presented is to clarify the essence of the concept of «artistic competence» and to justify the importance of the formation of artistic competence in future primary school teachers as an important component of their professional training.It is concluded that the relevance of studying and solving the problem of the formation of artistic competence in future primary school teachers is due to the reform of modern education, the need for schools in highly qualified competent, creative specialists who have key and specific knowledge about culture and various types of art, they strive to keep and to disseminate domestic and world cultural traditions. The generalized research results have revealed the essence and significance of the formation of artistic competence as an important component of the professional training of future primary school teachers. The promising areas of further scientific research of this problem include theoretical aspects and practical directions of the formation of creative competence of future primary school teachers.
