РОЗВИТОК МОВЛЕННЯ ДІТЕЙ ПЕРЕДШКІЛЬНОГО ВІКУ У ТВОРЧІЙ СПАДЩИНІ ВАСИЛЯ СУХОМЛИНСЬКОГО

Development of speech, as well as training and word-means education have been considered by V. Sukhomlynskyi as one of the most difficult cases in pedagogical theory and practice. Vasyl Olexandrovych figuratively compared the word with the most delicate and sharp instrument, with the help of which teachers touch the feelings and mind of their pupils. Role of the outlined means is especially important in pre-school and primary schools, where each meeting with a new phenomenon of the surrounding world awakens in the hearts of children a sense of emotional and aesthetic surprise and admiration.                          V. Sukhomlynskyi was deeply convinced that the native word plays extremely powerful informative and developing role in development of speech  experience, in formation of the spiritual world, general culture and intelligence of the person. Language has been considered by Scientist primarily as one of the
most important means of preserving the human soul, as a force that penetrates into everything that person perceives, comprehends and learns.
V. Sukhomlynskyi considered the last two or three preschool years and the first two or three school years as the most favourable period for the intensive
development of speech and children’s mastery of their native language and speech development. This, in his opinion, is a special and most active period of
child’s speech and mind development. V. Sukhomlynskyi advised parents and teachers to strive to ensure that the life – giving source, namely the wealth of native speech, was open to children from the first steps of their lives. The teacher-scientist was well aware that communication with nature contributes to a much better communication to the feelings, emotions, speech, consciousness of children of the native word beauty, imprinted it in the children's imagination and memory with the help of those pictures or phenomena for which it is used. Problem of speech development of the pre-school age children, education and their development by means of native language in the works of V. Sukhomlinsky deserves further expanded study and coverage, as Vasyl Olexandrovych made an extremely multifaceted and valuable contribution to this always topical matter from the point of view of pedagogical science and practice. Especially urgent is the problem of continuity in the development of speech of preschool and primary school age children during the reform of the educational process in our country
