DEVELOPMENT OF EMOTIONAL CULTURE OF A TEACHER AS A COMPONENT OF HIS PERSONALITY (ACCORDING TO V. O. SUKHOMLYNSKYІ)

The article is devoted to the problem of future teachers’ emotional culture development as a component of educational competence and personality in general. Based on the data of the author's scientific pedagogical survey conducted in the form of an anonymous written questionnaire, the article substantiates the need to study the ways of teachers’ personality development, in particular, in the works of native educationalists. The result of the data analysis of recent scientific works on the problem of teacher’s personality development demonstrated the absence of a holistic study devoted to the analysis of the ways to develop the future teacher's personality, particularly highlighted in the works of native educationalists. It is stated that, the pedagogical heritage of V.O. Sukhomlynsky is an inexhaustible source of such ideas. By studying and analysing the pedagogical works of V.О. Sukhomlynsky, the components of the teacher's educational competence were identified; their connection with the emotional component of a personality is revealed. Teachers’ skills, which are a pointer to the teachers’ emotions development were pointed out. The analysis of the components of educational competence has shown that the formation of a teacher educational competence is impossible without the formation and development of an emotional culture of a personality. After all, almost every skill formulated by V.O. Sukhomlynsky contains an integral component – emotions. Accordingly, the article concludes that the development of the teacher's personality and the formation of his/her educational competence requires the development of teacher’s emotional culture.

The formulation of the ways of emotional culture development as a component of the teacher's personality can be studied in further researches.
