A VIRTUAL “MUSIC BOX” OF VASYL SUKHOMLYNSKY: FROM THE CONTENT TO THE FORM

The article emphasizes the importance of forming a digital knowledge space and the important role of museums and libraries as institutions of memory, depository, and translators of cultural heritage. It has been noted that a prominent place in the activities of the Pedagogical Museum of Ukraine and the V. O. Sukhomlynsky State Scientific and Pedagogical Library of Ukraine in the virtual environment is occupied by the popularization of the life and career of the outstanding Ukrainian teacher Vasyl Sukhomlynsky (1918-1970), in particular by creating virtual exhibitions.

The author's definition of a virtual exhibition has been given, it has been substantiated that it is a multifunctional information resource that 1) allows a wide range of users to get new information and 2) allows the creation of a toolkit and techniques to implement the idea and concept of the exhibition (texts, photos, audio, video, etc.).

The process of creating the concept of the virtual exhibition “Music Box” of Vasyl Sukhomlynsky” consisted of several stages: collection and analysis of information (study of book and photo collections of the Pedagogical Museum of Ukraine and the Pedagogical Memorial Museum of V.O. Sukhomlynsky in Pavlysh Village, demonstration of exhibits for the exhibition), visualization of selected museum objects by photofixation or scanning, creation of the exhibition (analysis and systematization of the available material, registration of “starting” pages of the electronic publication, development of the main sections of the exhibition).

The structure and principles of the exhibition have been revealed and the semantic (textual, illustrative) content of each of the 5 sections of the exhibition have been briefly described: “Music in the Life of V. Sukhomlynsky: The Memories of Contemporaries”, “Music Lessons in Pavlyska School”, “V. Sukhomlynsky on Music Education”, “Sukhomlynsky's Playlist”, “Sukhomlynsky's Aphorisms about Music”.

Perspective themes of virtual exhibitions of V. Sukhomlynsky's pedagogical heritage have been outlined.
