PROJECT ACTIVITY OF STUDENTS OF TECHNICAL UNIVERSITIES IN THE PROCESS OF STUDYING FOREIGN LANGUAGES

The article deals with the problem of project activity as a means of
forming the professional competence of students and proves the feasibility of
introducing the project method in the educational process of universities. The
research on expediency of use of project technologies in activity of modern
technical universities was generalized.
Emphasis is placed on methods of analysis, synthesis, grouping and comparison of
project technologies used in the universities. The essence of the concepts “project”,
“project technology” were determined, the advantages of introduction of project
technologies in the activity of technical universities were studied.
The peculiarities and results of the implementation of the project technology
“Nutrition and Health” in higher education were described, taking into account the
point of view of lecturers and students of technical universities . The advantages of
implementing the technology of the project “Hutrition and Health” (“Hutrition and
Health”) have been identified. It has been proven that freelancers would allow
lectures to change the traditional approach to teaching a discipline and improve the
quality of higher education.
The questionnaire method was used to study and identify the strengths and
weaknesses of the project activity, as well as the personal perception of its students
while learning a foreign language.
It was found that students need an innovative lecturer who creates the optimal
online or offline educational environment, and the successful implementation of
project technologies by lecturers in teaching requires well-planned, continuous
professional development and support.
Educational project is characterized by multi-vector and focused on
independent (individual, group or collective) activities of higher education and
contributes to the effectiveness of foreign language learning.
