DEVELOPMENT OF HARDINESS OF FUTURE TEACHERS IN THE PROCESS OF STUDYING SAFE DISCIPLINES

Abstract. Attention is drawn to the fact that the rapid scientific and technical development of society did not reduce the number of dangers, but only led to their transformation and the appearance of new ones. It is asserted that in the conditions of modern challenges, the problem of development of people’s hardiness (as a personal buffer resource against critical life events), in particular, also at the stage of professional training, acquires a pronounced relevance. It was found that the phenomenon of hardiness is studied mainly from the perspective of psychology, although the breadth of this phenomenon makes it the subject of research in other or related fields as well. It has been found out that in scientific works the problem of development of hardiness of future specialists concerns primarily students of higher education in psychological specialties, and in practice it is realized during the study of special disciplines, despite the fact that the development of hardiness is also relevant for other students of higher education, therefore it is important the development of the formation of hardiness during the study of not special, but general university disciplines. Features of the development of hardiness of higher education graduates of pedagogical specialties during the study of safety disciplines: «Safety of life», «Civil protection», «Fundamentals of labor protection» and «Occupational safety in the field» are highlighted.  The critical state of health of modern teachers and the specifics of the educational field are taken into account. It is concluded that the study of security disciplines provides an awareness of threats in all habitats and the acquisition of relevant competences regarding their prevention, minimization and risk management, which contributes to the development of hardiness, which in the conditions of acute social, political and economic challenges (war, the pandemic of the COVID-19 coronavirus; the high level of injuries and occupational diseases and the losses associated with this) significantly expands its boundaries: from the personal construct of an individual to the condition of survival of the Ukrainian nation.
