RELEVANCE OF INNOVATION IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION: CHALLENGES OF MARTIAL STATE

The article examines the relevance of innovation in the educational process of physical education under martial law. It was determined that the introduction of martial law in Ukraine, caused by the military aggression of the Russian Federation, requires addressing a number of important issues, such as the physical and psychological health of students of higher education. The need for innovations in the educational process of physical education has been established, which we consider as a factor in significantly improving the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of this process in new realities. It was found that in the conditions of martial law, the tasks of physical education of higher education students are primarily due to the need to create conditions for the health of participants in the educational process, organized based on modern general scientific and special pedagogical technologies of the theory, methodology and practice of physical culture. Educators must reflect on current practices and policies and identify ways to transform education to meet new challenges. The experience of foreign countries, in particular Israel, in terms of the need to introduce a military-patriotic direction of physical education is considered; US experience in health care; and the possibility of introducing integrated classes in physical education as an advanced innovative practice was investigated. The necessity of updating the content of classes and methods of physical education in institutions of higher education, taking into account the requirements of wartime to the possibility of their use in independent work, has been determined. In conclusion, it is stated that innovations in the educational process of physical education are aimed at acquiring higher education competencies of health care and psychological stability to counter the challenges that inevitably occur in the conditions of martial law.
