THE ALPHABET OF MORAL VALUES: A LOOK AT THE MODERN PERSON IN THE CONDITIONS OF WAR

In the article, the authors emphasize the relevance of the problem of the formation of moral values ​​of modern people in the conditions of martial law, emphasize the importance of researching the ideas of moral education in the pedagogical heritage of Vasyl Oleksandrovich Sukhomlynskyi. The purpose of the article is to identify and analyze the main ideas of moral education of an outstanding national teacher and writer, to substantiate the need for the formation of moral values ​​of a modern child in crisis situations and in war conditions. The main sources from which love for parents and the Motherland begins, the desire to create the beauty of human relationships, noticing it in the surrounding world, are characterized: the nature of the native land, the child's family, the native village or city, the history of the country that the child knows and is proud of. It is noted that the problem of forming value orientations of a modern person on the basis of moral education in the conditions of war is gaining special relevance. It is the multifaceted legacy of V. Sukhomlynskyi that provides answers to a significant number of questions related to moral education and the formation of national self-awareness of Ukrainian schoolchildren. Attention is focused on the historical perspective of the formation of moral values. The modern meaning of such values ​​as "freedom", "responsibility" and "dignity" is highlighted. A comparative analysis of the vision of the main landmarks in the past and the modern view of the new generation was carried out. It was possible to determine that modernity, namely the conditions of crisis, war, requires from a person first of all an active resistance to the loss of oneself. It was concluded that moral values ​​play a key role in the formation of a harmonious society. Incorporating kindness, justice, and humanity into our daily lives can help improve interpersonal relationships, reduce conflict, and increase quality of life.
