MORAL EDUCATION OF JUVENILE CONVICTS IN THE PROCESS OF LABOR ACTIVITY IN A CORRECTIONAL FACILITY

The article reveals the essence of the concept of labor activity of juvenile convicts in correctional facilities. The motivating factors that have a significant impact on this process are characterized. It is established that the effectiveness of these processes is significantly influenced by the specifics of labor activity of juvenile convicts in a correctional facility, as its content is based primarily on their isolation from the normal life of people outside the facility. The principles of organization and implementation of moral education, which ensure the effectiveness of labor activity of juvenile convicts, are singled out and characterized.

The classification of the leading forms and methods of their moral education is described. The author emphasizes that improving the effectiveness of moral education in the labor activities of juvenile convicts should involve significant changes in the traditional system of managing these processes, within which all external influences (instructions, guidelines, orders of teachers, educators, masters and the management of a correctional facility) should be transformed into a systemic impact primarily on the team as a whole and, through its functioning, on a juvenile convict. It is proved that in the processes of moral education of juvenile convicts, one of the most important places belongs to the methods and techniques of organizing pedagogically directed leisure activities. It is determined that the leading factor that negatively affects the practice of organizing and applying educational measures is the imperfection of the current criminal law regulation.
