CURRENT TRENDS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES IN THE LIBRARY AND ARCHIVES

The article focuses on the formation of digital competence of the future specialist in the field of education. Emphasis is placed on the components associated with the intensive spread of new information and communication technologies. Forms of digital technologies and levers of penetration of information and communication technologies into individual specialties are determined, in particular: information, library and archival work.

 In order to gain an understanding of educational progress, the importance of digital technologies as they become part of civil society is considered.

From the point of view of continuing education, attention is focused on the professional competences of young specialists. Based on the educational goal, lifelong learning, a list of the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills of digital literacy learners is highlighted.

It was noted that the formation of digital competence of future specialists is a necessary process that requires planning, resources and support from the state. It was noted that there is a need for a context in which an approach to the formation of digital competence is programmed in accordance with modern needs.

It was found that several modern trends in the development of information technologies are being actively implemented in library and archival work. It was noted that since the industry is changing rapidly and information may be out of date as a result of rapid information development, it is important to keep in view the latest news of digital technologies.

Promotion of scientific research and development of new technologies in the field of information, library and archival affairs, participation in conferences and seminars aimed at sharing experience and innovations in the digital sphere will serve to more actively use the latest information technologies.
