The theoretical basis of the comprehensive harmonious pedagogical concept of V. Sukhomlinsky's comprehensive harmonious pedagogical concept is the humanistic philosophy and socio-historical cultural theory, initiated by L. Vygotsky. V. Sukhomlynskyi's pedagogical ideas as a teacher and the principal are the crystallization of his long-term pedagogical practice, which not only influenced the education of his time, but also had a great impact around the world. V. Sukhomlynsky believed that it is not enough for a good teacher to have theoretical literacy; he or she must be a professional with a pragmatic research spirit, believe in the educational potential of “love” and attach importance to self-education.
