PROBLEM-SOLVING ACTIVITIES AT HISTORY LESSONS AS A MEANS OF DEVELOPING STUDENTS’ CREATIVITY

The article deals with the peculiarities of developing students’ creativity in the process of teaching history in the context of problem-based learning. It is emphasized that in solving the problems of continuing education aimed at the development a creative personality capable of self-development and lifelong learning, a significant place belongs to issues related to the involvement of students in independent research of information, which contributes to the acquisition of not only formal and logical, but also operational knowledge. The attention is focused on the fact that problem-solving activity contributes to the formation of basic skills for the development of creativity, which are components of many key and subject competences. It is clarified that modeling problem-solving activities is based on the creation of methodological situations that enhance the developmental component of learning. The forms, methods and means of teaching are highlighted: laboratory and practical work, project method, problematic and creative tasks.

It is emphasized that the result of problem-solving activities is the integration of the acquired knowledge, the formation of practical skills, as well as personal qualities necessary for the formation of creativity: the ability to organize educational activities, cooperate, communicate, accumulate and use the creative experience of others, etc. The necessity of realizing the relevance of problem-search activity in the formation of creativity in history lessons in the context of continuing education is emphasized.
