The article deals with the use of associative maps as an innovative instrument of teachers in the context of a traumatic-informed approach to education. The authors determine the purpose and objectives of this publication. Purpose of the article: to investigate the possibilities of using associative maps as a tool of pedagogical activity within the trauma-informed approach to education, to investigate their influence on the emotional state, educational motivation and sociopsychological adaptation of participants of the educational process. The task is to outline the conceptual foundations of a trauma-informed approach to education; research of mechanisms of influence of associative maps on emotional state and cognitive processes of education applicants; Identify the key principles of effective use of associative maps in the work of teachers and the creation of appropriate methodological recommendations. The theoretical foundations and practical potential of associative maps in working with children and adults who have experience of psychological injuries are analyzed. The mechanisms of influence of visual metaphors on the emotional state of students, their ability to self-regulation and reflection are investigated. The key principles of using this method in the educational environment are outlined to create a safe atmosphere, support the psychoemotional state and the development of emotional intelligence. It is concluded that the integration of associative maps into the educational process helps to reduce the level of stress, to increase motivation for learning and the quality of education, to improve interpersonal interaction in the educational space. The prospects for introducing a trauma-informed approach in education are outlined: development of special programs of training of teachers-introduction of courses in traumatic-informed education for teachers and psychologists; integration of psychological support into the educational process - the creation of a psycho -emotional support environment in schools and universities; the use of interactive teaching methods-in particular, tools such as associative maps, art therapy, storytelling and mindfulness practice; involvement of parents and community-informing families about the principles of traumatic-informed approach and the ability to support children outside the educational environment; Scientific research is a further study of the effectiveness of trauma-informed methods in different educational contexts.
