Abstract

The article conducts a theoretical analysis of the problem of fostering a positive attitude towards work among schoolchildren. It reveals the essence of the concept of value-based attitude to work as an integral personal quality, manifested in the conscious recognition of the significance of labor activity, positive emotions from the process and result of work, and readiness to work diligently. The current pedagogical conditions for the formation of a positive attitude towards work in a modern school are determined. Practical tasks are considered as a key means of labor education. It is emphasized that involving children in feasible productive activities, obtaining direct visible results of their work, stimulates the formation of a sense of satisfaction and pride in achievements in students, and also contributes to the development of internal motivation for work. Traditional and innovative forms, methods and techniques of labor education at school (lesson work, socially useful activities, project activities, success situations, etc.) were analyzed. The methodological techniques for stimulating in primary and adolescent schoolchildren a sustained interest in labor activity, as well as the development of perseverance, responsibility, and independence, were outlined.
