Abstract

This article explores the theoretical and practical aspects of developing professional competencies among future bachelor’s degree students in fine arts, decorative and applied arts, and restoration within the context of the modern educational landscape. The relevance of the study stems from the need to modernize the professional training of students pursuing art majors in the context of the digitalization of education, the integration of innovative pedagogical approaches, and the growing demands of the modern labor market regarding the level of professional competence of specialists.

The paper clarifies the essence and structure of the professional competencies of future artists, which are viewed as an integrative characteristic of the individual, combining knowledge, abilities, skills, experience in creative activity, and value orientations. The paper describes the specifics of professional activity for specialists in the fields of fine arts, decorative and applied arts, and restoration, which involves a combination of artistic-creative, project-based, and research activities.

The feasibility of using innovative approaches in professional training is substantiated, in particular competency-based, activity-based, practice-oriented, project-based, and interdisciplinary integration. The pedagogical potential of an innovative educational environment is identified, which ensures the development of higher education students’ creative potential, artistic and aesthetic thinking, independent creative activity, and the integration of traditional and digital artistic practices.

Particular attention is paid to the use of innovative pedagogical technologies, including digital tools, project-based and problem-based learning, the creation of digital portfolios, as well as the implementation of creative workshops and art projects as effective means of developing professional competencies.
