V. SUKHOMLYNSKYI – A TEACHER: THE SPECIAL MISSION OF A PEDAGOGUE IN CRISIS SITUATIONS

The article investigates the actual question of the contemporaneity –
the special mission of a primary school teacher in crisis situations and the
consequences overcoming. Having analyzed and investigated scientists’ experience,
we described some main instruments and methods of overcoming crisis situations,
which were implemented in the practical work. In the context of war, the landscape
of education and learning has shifted significantly. Schools have become focal points
where learners not only acquire knowledge but also receive psychological support.
It was crucial for children to feel warmth, love, comfort, and a sense of peace before
embarking on educational tasks. The mission of educators is to adapt the educational
process to the current circumstances. Engaging children in online lessons with
positive emotions became a top priority. Play, storytelling, song, children's creativity,
group work, research activities, collaboration with parents and psychologists have
all contributed to overcoming challenges.The purpose of our research is to describe
the primary school teachers’ crisis experience in Academic Lyceum No1 of Ukrainka
Town Council. The crisis experience is based on our own working expertise, ideas
and recommendations by Sukhomlynskyi as well as modern psychology. Some
effective means and methods of overcoming crisis situations among children are also
analyzed in the article.
