EDUCATIONAL AND SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITIES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PEDAGOGY, EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT AND SOCIAL WORK OF RIVNE STATE UNIVERSITY FOR THE HUMANITIES: RETROSPECTIVE ANALYSIS

In the article, a retrospective analysis of the educational and scientific activities of the teachers of the department of pedagogy, educational management and social work of the Rivne State Humanitarian University is carried out. The publication traces the dynamics of the growth of the department’s scientific potential, analyzes its achievements, and characterizes the main areas of its activity, such as educational, methodological, scientific, international, etc.

The role of professors of the department B. Mityurov, S. Demianchuk, S. Palchevskyi, I. Malafiyik and other teachers in the formation and development of the department, the formation of competitive modern specialists is characterized.

In the article it was analyzed: changes in the training of qualified and competent teachers, social pedagogues, and managers, and an active increase in the number of researchers (1940-1980); the fruitful work of well-known scholars, teachers of the department, the development of important scientific and pedagogical schools: “Problems of Peace Education” by S. Demianchuk, “History of School Development” by B. Mityurov (1973-1986); studying the advanced pedagogical experience of teachers in Rivne and Rivne region, the functioning of two creative laboratories: the laboratory of the modern lesson – I. Malafiik, acmeological laboratory – S. Palchevskyi (1990-2013); conducting educational activities, organizing scientific conferences, creating new specialties and curricula (2014-2017); opening of the educational and methodological center “Social and Management Work”, conducting international activities, studying innovative teaching technologies for high-quality teaching of disciplines for students (2020-2022).

The development strategy of the department is outlined, which is aimed at comprehensive renewal of all areas of its activity, intensification of the educational process, and deepening of research activities with university students.
