The article provides a comprehensive theoretical and conceptual substantiation of an innovative internationalization model for higher arts education, positioning it as a pivotal determinant in cultivating the polycultural professional identity of prospective arts professionals. The proposed model conceptualizes internationalization not merely as an administrative or organizational phenomenon, but rather as a transformational mechanism that fundamentally reconfigures the university's educational environment, reconceptualizes curriculum content through intercultural pedagogical frameworks, and catalyzes the value-identity development trajectories of students within a globalized artistic paradigm. The model articulates a paradigmatic shift from declarative forms of internationalization – characterized by superficial institutional partnerships and nominal cultural exchange – toward transformational internationalization, wherein demonstrable outcomes manifest through substantive reconstitution of students' value-semantic orientations, systematic cultivation of their creative agency and autonomous artistic subjectivity, and enhanced capacity to function as effective agents of cultural diplomacy within transnational and transcultural artistic networks. It merits emphasis that, notwithstanding the predominantly theoretical-conceptual orientation of this scholarly inquiry, the elaborated model possesses considerable applied epistemological and operational utility, thereby warranting the integration of empirically-grounded practical recommendations tailored for higher arts education institutions, specialized arts faculties within comprehensive universities, governmental educational authorities, and stakeholders within creative and cultural industries. The scientific novelty and theoretical contribution of this research resides in its systematic conceptualization of internationalization as a holistic institutional model for nurturing polycultural professional identity formation – a model that synergistically integrates educational, cultural, and managerial mechanisms within a unified theoretical framework – and which demonstrates significant potential as a pragmatic instrumental tool for advancing the strategic modernization of Ukraine's arts education system amid contemporary global transformations and geopolitical reconfigurations.
